Astromaniac Public Discord Bot – Terms of Service

Effective Date: 08/13/2025

Acceptance of Terms

By using an Astromaniac Discord Bot (“the Bot”), you agree to these Terms of Service and all referenced policies. If you do not agree, discontinue use immediately. Continued use after any posted updates constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Eligibility

Use of the Bot is only permitted if:

You are at least 13 years old (or older if required by your local laws).
You comply with Discord’s Terms of Service and Community Guidelines.
You comply with all applicable laws in your jurisdiction.
If you are a server owner or administrator, you are responsible for ensuring your community members also meet these requirements.

Scope of Service

The Bot is provided “as is” and “as available.”
Features, commands, and integrations may be changed, suspended, or removed without notice.
The Bot may be temporarily or permanently taken offline at any time.
No uptime, feature availability, or performance guarantees are made.

User Conduct

You must not use the Bot to:

Engage in illegal activity or promote illegal activity.
Violate Discord’s Terms of Service or Community Guidelines.
Harass, threaten, or harm others.
Send spam, unsolicited advertisements, or malicious content.
Attempt to exploit, reverse-engineer, or disrupt the Bot’s operation.
Bypass any restrictions, blacklists, or rate limits placed by the Bot owner.
Server owners and administrators are responsible for monitoring how the Bot is used in their servers and ensuring compliance with these terms.

Data Collection and Privacy

The Bot may process and temporarily store data necessary for its functionality, which may include:

Discord user IDs, usernames, and server information.
Message content only when required for command execution.
Logs for debugging, abuse detection, and moderation.
Data Practices:
Data is not sold or shared with third parties except as required by law.
Data may be retained temporarily for operational purposes but is not stored indefinitely unless needed for abuse prevention or security.
The Bot relies on Discord’s API; therefore, data handling is also subject to Discord’s Privacy Policy.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The Bot is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Use at your own risk.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

Astromaniac is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use the Bot.
Responsibility for moderation, legal compliance, and content within a server remains solely with that server’s owners and administrators.

Termination of Service

Astromaniac reserves the right to:

Restrict or revoke access to the Bot for any user, server, or network at any time, with or without notice.
Blacklist individuals or servers engaging in abuse, violation of terms, or actions deemed harmful to the Bot or its users.
Termination decisions are final and may not be appealed unless otherwise stated by Astromaniac.
