Terms of Service for Discord Bots Operated by Astromaniac

This Terms of Service applies to all Discord bots that are owned, operated, managed, or maintained by Astromaniac. By using any Astromaniac bot, you agree to these Terms and all referenced policies. If you do not agree, discontinue use immediately. Continued use after any posted updates constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Eligibility

Use of the bots is only permitted if the following conditions are met:

• You are at least 13 years old or older if required by the laws in your region.

• You comply with Discord's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines.

• You comply with all applicable laws in your jurisdiction.

If you are a server owner or administrator, you are responsible for ensuring members of your server also meet these requirements.

Scope of Service

The bots are provided as is and as available. Features, commands, automation, and integrations may be changed, suspended, restricted, or removed without notice. The bots may be taken offline temporarily or permanently at any time. No guarantee of uptime, performance, feature availability, or response time is made.

User Conduct

You must not use the bots to:

• Engage in illegal activity or promote illegal activity.

• Violate Discord's Terms of Service or Community Guidelines.

• Harass, threaten, defame, or harm others.

• Send spam, unsolicited advertisements, or malicious content.

• Attempt to exploit, reverse engineer, copy, or disrupt the bots' operation.

• Bypass restrictions, blacklists, cooldowns, or rate limits.

Server owners and administrators are responsible for monitoring how the bots are used within their servers and for enforcing compliance with these terms.

Third Party Audio and Media Content

Some bots operated by Astromaniac provide the ability to queue and play audio from third party music platforms including Deezer for full audio playback and other platforms for metadata and search support. Astromaniac does not own, host, store, or license any of the audio played through the bots. Astromaniac does not provide copyright clearance, streaming rights, mechanical licenses, or distribution permissions for any content. Users are fully responsible for the content they request or transmit and must ensure they have legal rights to access, request, play, or share the content. Copyright disputes, takedown notices, or legal claims are the responsibility of the requesting user. If required by a rights holder, platform provider, or by Discord, Astromaniac will comply with removal, takedown, or content access restrictions.

User Generated Content

Users are responsible for all content submitted through the bots including text, commands, images, uploads, search terms, audio requests, and any other content. Astromaniac does not claim ownership of user generated content and is not responsible for content submitted, displayed, shared, or transmitted by users.

Public Display of Information

Certain bot features including leveling, rankings, achievements, or leaderboards may publicly display associated statistics, usernames, or profile identifiers. By using these features, users consent to the public display of these elements inside the Discord platform or interfaces connected to the bot.

Data Collection and Privacy

The bots may process data that is required for functionality. This may include:

• Discord user IDs, usernames, server IDs, channel IDs, and configuration data.

• Message content only when required for command execution or automation features.

• Logs and usage data used for debugging, abuse prevention, and performance monitoring.

• Metadata, queue details, and search information relating to music playback features.

Data is not sold or shared to third parties except as required by law or when required by external service integration such as the music and metadata platforms used for bot features. Data may be retained as long as operationally required and may be kept indefinitely unless a user or server owner requests removal. Users and server owners may request deletion by contacting contact@astromaniac.com.

Data handling is also subject to Discord's Privacy Policy due to reliance on the Discord API.

Server Owner Responsibility

Server owners and administrators are responsible for all actions taken with the bots inside their server. This includes configuration, automated moderation, message removal, user actions, and enforcement decisions. Astromaniac is not responsible for actions taken by server moderators or automated systems configured by the server.

External API Usage

Some bot features rely on external API services for music streaming, metadata lookup, search assistance, or functional automation. Use of these features is subject to the terms and licensing requirements of the respective platform. Astromaniac is not responsible for service interruptions, policy changes, or performance issues caused by external platforms.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The bots are provided without warranties of any kind whether express or implied. This includes, but is not limited to, warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, reliability, or non infringement. Use is at your own risk.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Astromaniac is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages that arise from the use or inability to use the bots. Responsibility for moderation, legal compliance, and user conduct within a server remains solely with the server owners and administrators.

Termination of Service

Astromaniac reserves the right to restrict, suspend, or terminate access to any bot for any user, server, or network at any time, with or without notice. Users may be blacklisted for abuse, violation of terms, disruption, or actions deemed harmful to the bots or their users. Termination decisions are final and may not be appealed unless explicitly stated otherwise by Astromaniac.

Changes to Terms

Astromaniac may update these Terms at any time. Continued use after any update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
